What we do
We help you answer the commercial questions your reports don't, then make the answer stick. Here are the six we're asked about most.
Pricing and margin
You want to be smarter about pricing but end up putting one percentage across every customer. You can't see what the exceptions cost you. You'd like to move price on the customers paying least while protecting the ones paying most, and you can't see the effect of price and volume together. We work out where margin is actually made and lost by customer and product, agree a pricing structure people can apply, help you take the increase through, and set up the report that shows each month whether it's holding.
Bids and job costs
You win work and some of it loses money, and you can't tell whether the bid was wrong or the delivery was. Or you price by padding a customer's number and hoping. We rebuild what a job really costs from the ground up, so you bid with intent, and give your estimators a model they can run themselves. For bigger tenders, we help you show a better delivery model in the response, one you can actually build if you win, and set up the loop that tells you afterwards whether the job did what the bid said.
Fleet, plant and assets
You have a lot of expensive equipment and no clear view of what each unit costs against what it earns. We connect age, use, maintenance, labour and revenue into a view that tells you which assets to renew, sell or run harder, what the mix of your workforce should be, and where there's unused capacity on routes or sites you could grow into or price differently.
Sites and footprint
You're weighing whether to consolidate, move or add a site, and everyone has an opinion. We put real costs beside each option so the call is made on numbers. The engineers do the layouts; we do the decision.
Control after a change
A new ERP went in and you have less visibility than before: disputed invoices, unclosed jobs, reports nobody trusts. Or you've taken on a big new customer with contracted service levels, and disputes keep coming up because your system and theirs tell different stories about performance. We find where the process broke, define the controls, and put the reports back, usually on the systems you already have.
Keeping it working
Most improvement fades within a year because nobody owns it. For every piece of work we do, we set up the report, the owner and the monthly review that keeps it in place. Many clients keep us in that review.
We are not the software implementer, the engineer or the accountant. They hold the pieces. We pull them together so a decision can be made, and set things up so their work pays off.
Start with a conversation.
Thirty minutes is enough to work out whether you're looking at the right problem, and whether we're the right people to help with it. If we are, we'll say what it would take. If we're not, we'll say that too.
